Where do I find the Employees view in Simployer One?
The Employees view gives you a complete, filterable list of everyone in your organisation. Use it to look up an individual employee, or to answer questions such as who is in a specific team, which employees report to a specific manager, or who started this year.
To open it, go to Employees in the left-hand menu.
What do the tabs in the Employees view show?
The Employees view in Simployer One is divided into four tabs:
- Candidates – people in a recruitment process
- New hires – people who have not yet been invited to Simployer One
- Employees – everyone who is active and has been invited
- Archived – former employees
For most lookups, you will work in the Employees tab.
How do I search for a specific employee?
To find one person in the Employees view:
- Go to Employees in the left-hand menu.
- Use the search bar at the top of the list.
- Start typing the employee's name. The list updates as you type.
How do I filter the employee list?
In the Employees view, select Filter to narrow the list by one or more of the following:
- Departments – employees who belong to a specific department
- Teams – employees who are members of a specific team
- Offices – employees based at a specific office or location
- Job title – employees with a specific job title
- Reports to – employees who report to a specific manager
- Employment types – employees with a specific employment type, such as full-time or part-time
- Start date – employees who started within a specific date range
- Permissions – employees with a specific permission role, such as Admin or Manager
You can combine several filters at the same time to narrow the results further. For example, filter by both Teams and Offices to see everyone in a particular team who is based at a specific location.
How do I find employees by team, department, manager or permission?
Use the Filter option in the Employees view for each of these lookups:
- All members of a team: filter by Teams and select the team
- Everyone in a department: filter by Departments and select the department
- Everyone who reports to a specific manager: filter by Reports to and select the manager
- All employees with Admin permissions: filter by Permissions and select Admin
- Everyone who started this year: filter by Start date and set the date range accordingly

- Search or filter the list so it shows the employees you want.
- Select the employees using the checkboxes.
- Open the Actions menu.
